July gave Americas Cardroom plenty to talk about, from two memorable Main Event storylines to new online tournaments, Aruba packages and a partnership with High Times. August now follows with two Mystery Bounty Venoms carrying $15 million in combined guarantees.
Alex Foxen found one of July's biggest televised calls during ESPN's 2026 Main Event coverage. Holding A♠J♣, he called Vinh Nguyen's 67,100-chip shove against J♥10♥ and won 142,500 on the 6♦ K♥ 5♣ A♥ 6♠ board.
Chris Moneymaker's featured hand ended on the stone bubble. He called Antonio Vargas's river shove with J♥9♦ on an 8♥ 7♠ 7♦ 7♣ 8♠ board and lost to A♥A♠. Three players were eliminated during the same hand-for-hand sequence and split two $15,000 minimum payouts, receiving $10,000 each.
The story continued online on July 28 with The Moneymaker Bubble Effect. The $0.10 buy-in event guaranteed $10,000 and awarded a $2,650 Venom seat to the player eliminated directly on the money bubble.
July's schedule was just as full. The Run Up Series began with 163 events and more than $10 million guaranteed through August 17. The $2.5 million guaranteed 25th Anniversary Tournament introduced a cumulative-stack format, allowing players to combine every qualifying stack for Day 2.Venom Fever opened more than 1,500 guaranteed seats into August's Venoms, while two Beast satellites awarded 20 Moneymaker Poker Tour Aruba packages worth $5,000 each.
Americas Cardroom also became an official sponsor of High Times' Kicking Back, a World Cup docuseries hosted by Ethan Zohn. Martin Zamani was announced for sponsored poker and cannabis culture segments.
The August schedule begins with the Venom Vault, which runs August 3–30 and gives every eligible player one free key. Three Run Up Main Events start August 16 with buy-ins of $33, $215 and $1,050.
The main attraction begins August 13. The $2,650 No-Limit Hold'em Venom guarantees $12 million with a $500,000 top bounty, while the $2,650 Pot-Limit Omaha Venom guarantees $3 million with a $250,000 top bounty. Both events feature a $5,000 minimum Mystery Bounty and put every Day 2 player in the money.
