Frisco, Texas – Albin Oldner Law senior partner and former judge Chris Oldner has been named to D Magazine’s 2026 “Best Lawyers in Dallas” list, the sixth consecutive year he has earned the peer-selected recognition. The annual list honors attorneys across the Dallas–Fort Worth area; peers nominate and select honorees, and a panel of local attorneys vets them before D Magazine confirms each recipient’s credentials.
Oldner leads the firm’s family law practice, focusing on complex, high-asset divorce, high-asset estate enforcement, and alternative dispute resolution. Before entering private practice, he spent 17 years on the bench in Collin County, hearing family, civil, and criminal cases. Since leaving the bench in 2016, he has drawn on that judicial experience to guide clients through every kind of family law matter.
“This recognition means a great deal because it comes from fellow attorneys who see this work up close,” said Oldner. “After 17 years on the bench, I know how much is at stake when a family’s future is decided in a courtroom. Helping clients through those moments is the most rewarding work of my career.”
Oldner is one of only two attorneys in Collin County board certified in both family law and criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He serves on the Board of Governors of the American Judges Association and is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, and he has been named to the Texas Super Lawyers list every year since 2019. His judicial service earned him the Mari Kay Bickett Judicial Excellence Through Education Award and the Exemplary Judicial Faculty Award, both from the Texas Center for the Judiciary.
