Security services leader selects Instant to deliver a customized, fully integrated EWA experience for its 320,000 hourly employees in the United States
ATLANTA, Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Instant Financial, the fintech company modernizing wage access for hourly workers and their employers, today announced that Allied Universal, a global leader in security and facility services and one of the country's largest employers, has selected Instant as its fully integrated earned wage access ("EWA") partner. The program gives Allied Universal's 320,000 hourly employees in the United States immediate access to their wages, as soon as they complete a shift, alongside flexible options for how they receive their money. Allied Universal employees also receive access to Instant's Financial Wellness program, offering credit building, health and wellness services, and educational tools.
Allied Universal transitioned its EWA program to Instant earlier this year. The company sought a partner that could seamlessly embed into its onboarding process and deliver robust customer support for both employees and administrators. Since the transition, tens of thousands of Allied Universal employees have activated Instant accounts.
"Earned wage access is about much more than giving employees access to their money before payday. At this scale, the experience must work for employees and the people administering the program," said Tal Clark, CEO of Instant. "Allied Universal wanted a partner that could deliver strong customer support, fraud mitigation and compliance across all 50 states, while also building an experience around how its employees actually engage with the company. That's exactly what we've built together."
Instant developed a customized solution that directly integrates into Allied Universal's employee experience. New employees can select Instant as part of their onboarding process within Allied's employee portal, reducing friction and making EWA an easy decision.
"We wanted an earned wage access partner that could provide a dependable, easy-to-use experience at scale," said Don Tefft, Global Chief Human Resources Officer of Allied Universal. "Instant brought us a combination of responsive support, strong fraud controls, nationwide compliance and the ability to customize the program around our workforce. Most importantly, our employees have flexibility in how they access the money they've already earned."
Allied Universal employees can choose to receive earned wages through an Instant prepaid debit card at no cost, transfer funds to an existing bank account through a fee-free ACH option, or select an immediate bank transfer for a fee. Employees are also assigned a virtual card and can request a physical card if desired.
The range of options is designed to support Allied Universal's diverse workforce, including employees who may be unbanked or underbanked, while giving workers with traditional bank accounts the ability to use their preferred financial institution or mobile wallet.
The partnership represents Instant Financial's first major expansion into the security services industry, building on the company's experience providing modern pay solutions for large hourly workforces in restaurants, hospitality, retail and other frontline sectors.
