Forum will bring together corporate directors, CEOs, technology leaders, and governance experts to discuss how boards need to rapidly adapt to accelerating technology disruption and increased geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainty

TEMPE, Ariz., Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Directors Academy, a national 501(c)(3), and Arizona State University today announced the inaugural Boardroom of the Future Forum, to be held November 13-14, 2026, at ASU's W. P. Carey School of Business in Tempe, Arizona.

"Directors cannot effectively govern tomorrow's companies using yesterday's board playbook," said James D. White, co-founder and board chair of Directors Academy.

The Forum will bring together public and private company directors, CEOs, senior executives, technology leaders, and governance experts for practical, peer-level conversations about the forces reshaping the boardroom. Sessions will address artificial intelligence, geopolitical and macroeconomic risk, board composition and diversity, international governance, and the attributes of future high-performing boards.

"Directors cannot effectively govern tomorrow's companies using yesterday's board playbook," said James D. White, co-founder and board chair of Directors Academy.

Featured speakers include Rob Kaplan, Vice Chair of Goldman Sachs; Tim Brooks, Global Head of AI Development at World Wide Technology; Michael Montelongo, former Chief Financial Officer of the U.S. Air Force; Dr. Chris Howard, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of ASU; and Dr. Lev Gonick, Enterprise Chief Information Officer of ASU. Additional speakers include experienced board members, CEOs, technology executives, governance leaders, and ASU faculty members.

"The Forum is focused on the future and will provide practical guidance on how to successfully navigate the ongoing transition to AI-enabled governance," said Keith Meyer, co-founder and president of Directors Academy.

The program will examine how emerging technologies will impact board engagement and Director contribution, how geopolitical and economic uncertainty will reshape board agendas, and how future boards will be built for high-performance. It will also provide participants with opportunities for candid, peer-level exchange.

The Forum will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, November 13, and conclude at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, November 14. The Forum immediately follows the Directors Academy 2026 Board Immersion Program at ASU.
