Mandeville, LA September 03, 2026 --(PR.com)-- The International Franchise Association (IFA) today named Jeff Duff, owner of four Pinot’s Palette studios in Louisville, Kentucky; Jeffersonville, Indiana; Columbus, Ohio; and Gilbert, Arizona, as a 2026 Franchisee of the Year. Duff will be honored at the IFA26 Advocacy Summit in Washington, D.C., Sept. 14-16, for being an outstanding franchise owner with excellence in entrepreneurship, community outreach, workforce development, and service to others. Nominated by their brand, the IFA Franchisee of the Year awards are given to top franchisees from IFA member brands across industries and communities around the country.

The Franchisee of the Year awards recognize leading franchise owners for their community involvement, fostering a strong workforce, assisting their fellow franchisees when called upon, and embodying the entrepreneurial spirit. Their outstanding performance and contributions help strengthen not only their business but also the entire franchise business model.
Duff and his wife, Christy, own and operate four Pinot’s Palette studios in Louisville (St. Matthews), Kentucky; Jeffersonville, Indiana; Columbus (Short North), Ohio; and Gilbert, Arizona. Their journey into franchising began as they were both building long-term corporate careers and looking for an opportunity to create something of their own. After acquiring their first Pinot’s Palette studio in 2023, they continued to grow their business, eventually making the decision to leave their corporate careers and focus full time on their studios. Today, what started with one location has grown into a four-studio, multi-state operation supported by teams of artists, managers, and hospitality professionals.
For Jeff and Christy, building the business has always been about more than simply adding locations. They have focused on creating businesses that are connected to their communities, providing opportunities for their employees, and giving people a place to come together and create memorable experiences. Jeff has also taken an active leadership role within the broader Pinot’s Palette franchise system, serving as President of the brand’s Franchise Advisory Council and working with fellow franchisees and corporate leadership to advocate for franchise owners and strengthen the system as a whole.
Community service has been an important part of Jeff and Christy’s lives long before becoming franchise owners. Jeff is a co-founder of Derby City Dog Rescue in Louisville, and together they have spent years supporting animal rescue and other community causes. That commitment has been carried into their businesses, where their Pinot’s Palette studios regularly partner with nonprofit organizations, schools, animal rescues, and local groups through fundraising events and community partnerships.
“Receiving this recognition from the IFA is incredibly meaningful because what Christy and I have built together has truly changed our lives,” Duff said. “We both walked away from long-term corporate careers and took a chance on ourselves and on this business. There have certainly been challenges along the way, but we have also had the opportunity to build some incredible teams, become part of four different communities, and develop relationships with franchise owners across the country. I’m proud of how much our business has grown, but I’m even more proud of the people who helped us get here and the impact we’ve been able to make along the way. This recognition may have my name on it, but it represents something that Christy and I, our teams, and a lot of people around us have built together.”
There are approximately 832,000 franchise establishments across the U.S., providing nearly 8.8 million direct jobs and generating more than $907 billion in economic output. According to Oxford Economics, franchising on average provides higher wages and better benefits than non-franchised businesses, as well as greater entrepreneurial opportunities to minorities, women, veterans, and other underrepresented communities.
The recipients will be honored at a luncheon on Sept. 15, 2026, and throughout the IFA26 Advocacy Summit in Washington, D.C. next month.
