Hawaiian plate lunch brand opens second Hoosier State location just weeks after Avon debut
Zionsville, IN (RestaurantNews.com) Mo’ Bettahs Hawaiian Style Food is building momentum in Indiana with the opening of its second restaurant in the state on Sept. 14 at 10725 N. Michigan Road in Zionsville.
The opening comes just two weeks after Mo’ Bettahs made its Indiana debut in Avon on Aug. 31, marking the next step in the brand’s expansion across the Indianapolis area. Earlier this year, Mo’ Bettahs identified Indianapolis as one of three new markets it planned to enter as part of its continued corporate-led growth.
Located near Kroger and Target, the new Zionsville restaurant will bring Mo’ Bettahs’ Hawaiian plate lunches to residents throughout the surrounding community.
Ahead of the grand opening, cofounder Kalani Mack will host a two-day Friends and ?Ohana celebration Sept. 11 and 12. Guests can enjoy complimentary mini plates and drinks Friday during lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Festivities will continue Saturday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:30 p.m., followed by a block-party-style dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The event will feature samples, a photo booth, caricature artist, temporary tattoos and a chance to win free Mo’ Bettahs for a year. Guests must be present at the time of the announcement to win.
Founded in 2008, Mo’ Bettahs was built on the recipes, traditions and hospitality Kimo and Kalani Mack grew up with on O‘ahu. The brand serves Hawaiian-style plate lunches featuring favorites like teriyaki chicken and steak, kalua pig, pulehu chicken and katsu chicken, paired with steamed rice, vegetables and creamy macaroni salad. Each plate reflects the flavors and traditions Kimo and Kalani grew up with in Hawai‘i.

The Zionsville restaurant marks Mo’ Bettahs’ second Indiana location and 81st nationwide. Together with the new Avon restaurant, the opening establishes the brand’s initial footprint in the Indianapolis area as Mo’ Bettahs continues its expansion into new markets across the country.
The restaurant will be open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and closed Sundays. Guests can dine in, order takeout or explore catering options.
